MORE ABOUT OUR SYSTEM

There are many different factors that contribute to falls. Some hazards are easy to recognize, but others go unnoticed by most people and can lead to dangerous and even life-threatening injuries. With the rising costs of assisted living and nursing home care, we recognize the desire for people to stay at home where they feel most comfortable. That’s why Safe Step Systems provides a physician-directed virtual assessment with recommendations for home modifications — so that you or your loved one can remain safely in their residence. Safe Step Systems is not a home healthcare provider, yet we have developed a comprehensive approach to help prevent falls and subsequent health risks.

  • Lack of grab bars near the toilet & in shower
Properly installed grab bars are vital for entry and exit of the shower area and around the toilet.
  • Lack of bath chair in the shower area
Many people can benefit from a shower chair that brings not only safety benefits, but also added comfort.

KITCHEN:

  • Hard to reach items on upper shelves/cabinets
Replace a stool with a sturdy metal step ladder, with a long handle bar to provide support when reaching for items up high.
  • Unorganized & cluttered space
Items that are used every day should be in easy to reach locations in lower cabinets. Cluttered counterspace can also lead accidents by knocking an item over. Add hooks to the wall for pots and pans you use frequently.
